We are currently looking for lawyers with a minimum of 5 years' top-tier post-qualification experience in employment law.

Examples of recent opportunities

• Senior lawyer providing employment law support to a multinational financial services company on contentious and non-contentious matters across Europe and Asia-Pacific, including common law and statutory employment laws, hiring, immigration, compensation, benefits, advice about single and group reductions in workforce, as well as privacy, disability (insurance) and human rights.
• A generalist employment lawyer role in a social technology company, supporting the business advisory and litigation teams on issues including absences, performance reviews. reorganisations and redundancies.
• Senior employment lawyer supporting a global financial institution on investigations including whistleblowing.
• Mid-level employment lawyer within a media conglomerate advising on cross border employment issues including hiring, disciplinary actions, reorganisations and global HR projects.
• Senior employment lawyer assisting the A&O Shearman employment practice with advice on a key client's global HR project.
• Interim Head of Employment role at a brokerage, with responsibilities including managing complex employment litigation, advising on employment policies and practices, people strategy, risk management, employment related M&A and ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations in a financial services context.

Our criteria

Successful applicants will:

• have a minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier for employment law;
• preferably have in-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution or corporate (directly or as a secondee);
• have researched the personal and financial factors that you need to consider when commencing a career as a legal consultant and be comfortable with the ways in which it differs from permanent employment;
• have a consultant mindset, including a highly professional, flexible and adaptable outlook and approach;
• and have a practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the UK.
