Summary: The Legal Cashier role involves supporting the finance/accounts department of a law firm on a temporary basis. The position requires managing legal finance processes with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate client and office ledgers, monitoring client account balances and resolving discrepancies
- Processing client receipts, payments and transfers, including the handling of CHAPS, BACS, cheques and online payments
- Processing legal bills, disbursements and expense payments and allocating payments to the correct matters and clients
- Performing monthly bank reconciliations and reconciling client and office accounts
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes, including producing financial and management reports
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working in a cashiering role, preferably within a law firm
- Strong knowledge of legal accounting rules and client account procedures
- Experience using legal accounting and practice management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

We're looking for temporary Legal Cashier to support our client whilst they start the search for a permanent cashier. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of legal finance processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency across the firm, including:
