Summary: The Legal & Contract Specialist will be part of the JDR Legal and Contracts team, providing legal, contractual, and commercial support across various matters, including client tenders and disputes. The role involves contract preparation, negotiation, and advising on legal obligations to mitigate risks for JDR Group. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. The candidate should have a solid understanding of commercial contracts, preferably within the construction or energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct commercial reviews of customer enquiries and advise on contract terms.
- Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers to minimize risks.
- Review customer purchase orders and prepare necessary documentation.
- Provide legal and contractual advice to Sales and Project Managers.
- Support corporate insurance provisions regarding US local requirements.
- Offer legal support on various matters, including employee claims and commercial leases.
- Communicate with stakeholders and contribute to departmental engagement activities.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Legal Executive or Solicitor, or formal legal qualification.
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms.
- Knowledge of dispute resolution and warranty claims.
- Understanding of commercial contracts, preferably in construction or energy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office packages.
