Legal Administrator

Location: Gloucester

Pay Rate: 14.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary with the potential to go permanent

Start Date: Immediate, Full time Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

An established and respected Gloucestershire law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Administrator to join their busy Conveyancing Department on a temporary basis with the potential to go permanent and with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous legal administration or conveyancing support experience who can quickly integrate into a busy team and provide vital administrative support. Due to workload demands, our client is looking for someone who can confidently hit the ground running with minimal training.

Working within the Conveyancing Team, As the Conveyancing Legal Administrator you will provide comprehensive administrative support to senior legal professionals, ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of residential property matters.

Key responsibilities for this Conveyancing Legal Administrator role

  • Audio and copy typing of correspondence and legal documentation
  • Updating and maintaining the firm's case management system (LEAP Legal)
  • Managing conveyancing files and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Liaising with the Land Registry and using the Land Registry Portal
  • Processing instructions from solicitors and conveyancers
  • Organising, preparing and updating contracts and supporting documentation
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and client enquiries professionally
  • Providing reception cover when required
  • General administrative support across the Conveyancing Department

To be considered for this Conveyancing Legal Administrator role, you will ideally have

  • previous experience within a legal administration, legal secretary or conveyancing support role
  • Experience working within a Conveyancing Department
  • Knowledge of LEAP Legal or similar legal case management systems
  • Experience using the Land Registry Portal
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Outlook
  • Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy legal environment
