We have an exciting opportunity available for qualified and newly qualified teachers to join us in providing our students a truly dedicated, exciting, academic Sixth Form study experience. We are welcoming applications from candidates who are interested in teaching A-Level English Language / and Language and Literature as a temporary full time post. Please specify on your application form if there are any other subjects you can teach.
As a Lecturer at Blackburn Sixth Form you will be part of a dynamic curriculum team, contributing to delivery, planning, development and student support, including assuming the role of personal tutor. You will be passionate about bringing positive changes to the lives of young people with their achievement and subsequent progression to University or employment.
You will need to hold a relevant UK Degree or NARIC equivalent as well as a recognised teaching qualification at Level 4 or above. You should be able to demonstrate a track record of success in teaching relevant subjects at AS/A level and/or GCSE subjects and have the ability to motivate and inspire students. However, NQTs are welcome to apply, as there is a detailed SOW and resources, and a supportive team.
