Client Details My client are a highly acquisitive business with a turnover of over 3bn and are one of the most prominent businesses in the Bristol area Description The key responsibilities within this role: * Ensure complete and accurate reporting of lease accounting information * Implement established lease processes, controls and reconciliations for lease reporting and transaction flows * Support the onboarding of lease data for all new acquisitions and updates/ changes to existing leases * Provide technical support to overseas management accounting teams on lease accounting (IFRS 16) * Problem solve/undertake project work * Validate and back up work of lease administrators * Monitor reconciliation/clearance of the lease payment control accounts * Validate Administrators' inputs into lease software * Prepare monthly data for company journals into Open Accounts (GL) * Reconcile data at Group level * Line management of 2 * Assist in preparation of lease disclosure notes for full (statutory) and half year accounts and with interim/year end audit responses * Ad hoc project work e.g. cleansing leasing data, rolling-out process improvements * Prepare summary/specific lease information requested by other accounting functions such as Group Accounting/Reporting, Treasury, FP&A Profile The successful candidate for this role will possess: * A full and recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA - or equivalent) * Working knowledge of IFRS 16 * Ability to manage and manipulate data * Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables * Experience of preparing reconciliations * Practical approach to problem solving Job Offer This is a fixed term contract offering a highly competitive salary, and an immediate start is available.
