Summary: The Learning Designer at The Christie PET-CT Academy will focus on creating engaging and innovative online learning experiences for healthcare professionals in the field of PET-CT diagnostic services. This role involves collaboration with subject matter experts and the Education Developer to ensure high-quality instructional design and effective course management. The position is initially fixed-term for 12 months and is part of a leading cancer care institution committed to advancing healthcare outcomes through education. The successful candidate will also manage the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to support educational offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Education Developer and subject matter experts to design engaging, interactive learning content.
- Research and integrate innovative educational design into course content.
- Liaise with internal teams to manage course development timelines.
- Support the review and continuous improvement of educational offerings.
- Manage, administrate, and maintain the LearnDash Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
- Contribute to the administration of assessment processes within the VLE.
- Implement upgrades to systems, ensuring compliance with security and data management issues.
- Provide first-line technical support and maintenance for the VLE.
- Maintain compliance with copyright and data laws for all created materials.
- Report on a range of KPIs as requested.
Key Skills:
- Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in designing and developing online learning resources.
- Proficiency in using Articulate Storyline 360 or other authoring tools.
- Creative design skills and expertise in Adobe suite or equivalent software.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in maintenance/administration of VLEs, e.g., LearnDash.
- Understanding of how to develop quality learning for a range of audiences.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational values and behaviors.
