Summary: The Learning and Development Officer role at Social Care Wales involves leading the coordination and delivery of staff learning and development activities to enhance employee growth and compliance with learning objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of staff learning and development activities across the organization.
  • Implement effective training programs and ensure compliance with learning objectives.
  • Administer, evaluate, and report on learning opportunities in line with the Learning and Development Strategy and annual training plans.
  • Manage the Learning and Development Hub on SharePoint.
  • Organize and administer face-to-face and e-learning programs and events.
  • Lead the review of current policies and training delivery methods.
  • Support the planning for a future Learning Management System.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a learning and development or human resources role.
  • Experience of partnering with colleagues across all levels to support learning and development.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Welsh language skills.
