About the Role

My client is a global technology company who are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to join their team on a 6-month contract to provide cover during a period of long-term sick leave.

This is a project-focused role where you will take ownership of the delivery of several key L&D initiatives that are already in flight.

You will be expected to quickly get up to speed, build relationships with stakeholders and drive delivery with minimal supervision.

The business is operating at pace, so we’re looking for a highly organised and proactive L&D professional who is comfortable stepping into existing programmes, picking up work mid-execution and seeing projects through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for progressing and delivering a number of strategic L&D projects, including:

Global Facilities Management Training Programme

  • Lead the continued rollout of a newly developed training programme for the Facilities Management population globally.
  • Drive adoption, engagement and embedding of the programme across multiple regions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and sustainability.

Apprenticeship Levy & Funding Review

  • Review the current UK Apprenticeship Levy approach and equivalent learning funding mechanisms globally.
  • Assess business implications, opportunities, risks and associated costs.
  • Develop a clear global landscape analysis, comparing and contrasting available funding models.
  • Produce recommendations and a practical roadmap for future consideration.

Learning Management System (LMS) Launch

  • Support and drive the implementation and launch of a new LMS (Docebo).
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement, communications, training and adoption activities.
  • Ensure a smooth transition and successful user experience.

General Project Delivery

  • Take ownership of existing L&D projects and ensure delivery against agreed timelines.
  • Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Operations and the wider business.
  • Provide regular progress updates and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

About You

You will be an experienced L&D contractor with a strong track record of delivering learning projects in fast-paced corporate environments.

You’ll be confident operating independently and won’t require significant direction or handholding.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience delivering complex L&D projects end-to-end.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience supporting learning technology implementations, ideally LMS rollouts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent project management and organisational capability.
  • Ability to quickly understand an organisation, build credibility and deliver results.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making progress in a busy environment with limited oversight.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What Success Looks Like: By the end of the contract, you will have:

  • Successfully progressed and embedded the global Facilities Management training programme.
  • Delivered a comprehensive Apprenticeship Levy and global funding analysis with clear recommendations.
  • Supported a successful launch and adoption of the new LMS.
  • Ensured key L&D projects were completed on time and transitioned smoothly.

If you’re a pragmatic, delivery-focused L&D professional who enjoys stepping into live projects and driving them to completion, please reach out for more information.
