Summary: The Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for developing automation test frameworks to support modern technology-enabled healthcare initiatives in Wales. This role involves promoting open-source tools, guiding test team members in designing test strategies, and engaging with external test communities. The position requires significant experience in testing tools and methodologies, particularly in an Agile environment. The contract is for six months with potential for extension, requiring hybrid working with onsite presence in Cardiff two Fridays per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write new automation test frameworks based on project/product requirements.
• Promote the use of open-source tools and be proficient in multiple test scripting languages.
• Guide test team members in designing test strategies for complex and large-scale delivery.
• Engage with external test communities and share learning to champion quality.
• Utilize key technologies such as Specflow, Selenium, C#, HTML/CSS, and Blazor UI.

Key Skills:

• Master's level education or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Continuous professional development evidence.
• Experience in Agile working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Relevant testing certification or functional/non-functional testing experience.
• Proficiency in automation testing and test analysis using specified technologies.
