Summary: The Lead Technical Director for Hydropower will oversee the technical design review of significant pumped storage hydroelectric projects in South East Asia. This role involves establishing and leading a design office, managing a team of experts, and coordinating with contractors and engineers. The position requires extensive experience in large hydropower projects and will report directly to senior project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the technical design review for large pumped storage hydroelectric projects.
• Set up and lead a design office in the capital city.
• Oversee a team of technical experts managing multiple pumped storage projects.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and Owners Engineer.
• Report to the Project Director for Pumped Storage and the Chief of Projects for Hydro & Dams.
• Manage project cost risk and progress reporting.

Key Skills:

• Masters or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in leading large hydropower projects.
• 15 - 20 years of experience as Project Manager, Technical, Engineering or Design Manager on projects over 1B USD.
• Extensive experience in management and reporting of project cost risk and progress.
• Experience working with Chinese EPC Contractors and Design Institutes.
