Summary: The Lead Technical Architect role involves leading a discovery team to incrementally replace legacy systems with digital services that comply with the Government Service Standard. The consultant will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the upcoming years, analyzing current systems, and recommending replacement approaches. The position requires extensive experience in similar projects and a strong technical background. The role is based in London and is initially a 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small discovery team to explore replacement of legacy systems.
- Set the strategy for the next few years regarding digital services.
- Understand the client's current landscape.
- Identify and analyze possible replacement approaches.
- Recommend a path forward for system replacement.
Key Skills:
- Eligible for SC Clearance (ideally Active SC).
- Extensive experience as an Architect in similar projects.
- Experience as a Lead.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Node or Typescript.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools - Kubernetes.

In this role, the Consultant will help setting the strategy for the next few years, and the main responsibilities will be:
- understanding the client's current landscape,
- identifying and analysing a range of possible replacement approaches
- recommending a path forward
Skills:
- Eligible to get an SC Clearance (ideally Active SC for a quicker start)
- Extensive exprience as a Architect in similar projects with experience as Lead
- Programming languages such as Node or Typescript
- IaC - Terraform
- Orchestration tools - Kubernetes
