- Create and implement functional attraction strategies aligned with market objectives.
- Serve as the go-to point for market-level escalations and provide strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition peers to align operational plans across countries.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to broader projects.

About the role
As part of a Global Talent Acquisition team, this role is responsible for the strategic partnering, service delivery and development of the Talent Acquisition strategy. The role of Lead TA Manager for UK Group Technology partners into the leadership teams of the Group Technology functions they are aligned to (UK Technology, Tesco Mobile, Booker & OneStop) and manages a team of Talent Acquisition Managers & Talent Acquisition Partners delivering the end-to-end recruitment process ensuring Tesco’s engagement with the best talent whilst transforming the diversity of our workforce through delivering an efficient, valued, and inclusive candidate experience and ensure a simple and efficient process for hiring managers.
You will be responsible for
- Translating Group Talent Acquisition strategy into actionable business and deployment plans tailored for the market
- Strategically partner with the leadership teams of the Group business functions I am aligned to, building proactive TA strategies that deliver the business people plan and strategic priorities
- Leading and guiding a team of Talent Acquisition Managers, creating a welcoming and high performing team culture which is renowned for delivering operational excellence.
- Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and the People team to align the 12-month Talent Acquisition plan with business goals,
- Creating and implementing functional attraction strategies that complement our 'Promise of Every Day' strategy and market objectives,
- Serving as the go-to point for market-level escalations across all functions and providing thought leadership and strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition peers who own service delivery into group functions to align operational plans & learnings in all countries.
- Leads continuous improvement working closely with wider Group People Services teams on automation / innovation / process improvement and contributes to broader projects.
- Define operational data and success metrics, ensuring objectives are measurable and achieved.

You will need
- Expert understanding of Talent Acquisition & experience working with teams across within various country/s and functions
- Experience managing teams at all levels, including managers of managers and being a visionary leader with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving ambitious recruitment goals.
- Proven ability to craft and deliver strategic plans that translate Group Talent Acquisition strategy into market specific actions
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to partner with business leaders and the People team effectively
- Analytical skills and commercial acumen with the ability to provide insights and recommendations based on business strategy, market trends, and data analysis
- Forward-thinking approach to talent demand planning, anticipating future needs and building talent pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end hiring within a Talent Acquisition team, leveraging data and insights for forward planning
- Able to work with minimal direction and navigate ambiguity, managing self and others to successful outcomes.
- Have technical proficiency and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.
- Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing business needs and address and resolve recruitment challenges creatively and efficiently.
