Summary: The Lead Subcontracts Consultant at Wood will oversee all pre and post-order subcontract activities for major global Oil & Gas EPC projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. This role involves risk assessment and collaboration with various project stakeholders to support procurement and contract management. The position is based at the Redcar site office, focusing on energy transition projects. The consultant will also provide support for new business proposals as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaison with Project Commercial group and other divisions on commercial and contracting policies.
• Obtain legal counselling on procurement matters.
• Promote business standards consistent with Corporate and Supply Chain Code of Conduct.
• Ensure sound terms and conditions for purchase orders and contracts.
• Assess risks associated with contracts in relation to head contract liabilities.
• Advise procurement and construction managers on contract matters.
• Provide support for proposal development for new business.

Key Skills:

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or contract law.
• Post-award contract experience in the Energy industry.
• Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC projects.
• Previous experience as Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager.
• Desirable PMC experience.
