Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Build event-driven architectures and contribute to serverless solutions in a secure enterprise environment.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable code using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Contribute to front-end development using HTML and JavaScript as required.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps engineers to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

  • Support testing activities and ensure best practice security and cloud governance standards are met.

Contract Lead Software Engineer – Cloud / Serverless - Up to 665 P/D (Outside IR35) - Hybrid – Nottingham (max 2 days per month onsite) 6 Months Initial Contract Active SC

We are currently supporting a leading UK digital transformation consultancy on the search for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join a high-performing delivery team on an enterprise-scale programme. This role will focus on the design and development of cloud-native, serverless solutions within Microsoft Azure, contributing to secure, scalable and resilient enterprise platforms.

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining cloud-native applications using Azure Functions, Azure Storage (Blob, Table, Queue) and Azure Service Bus.
  • The work will involve building event-driven architectures and contributing to modern, serverless solutions within a secure enterprise environment.
  • You will develop high-quality, maintainable code using Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript, and where required, contribute to front-end development using HTML and JavaScript.
  • Working within a collaborative, Agile delivery team, you will partner with architects, product owners and DevOps engineers to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
  • You’ll contribute to code reviews, adhere to established architectural patterns, support testing activities, and ensure best practice security and cloud governance standards are met.
  • There is a requirement to travel to client offices in Nottingham up to two days per month.
