Summary: The Lead Security Architect will be responsible for designing secure systems and implementing effective security measures to protect UK public services from cyber threats. This role requires active SC clearance and involves assessing risks across various environments, including infrastructure, networks, applications, and cloud. The position also entails guiding teams and interacting with stakeholders to promote security best practices. The role allows for remote work with occasional travel to London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design secure systems and assess risks to protect UK public services from cyber threats.
- Guide teams in implementing effective security measures across infrastructure, networks, applications, and cloud environments.
- Interact with stakeholders to explain and encourage the implementation of security measures.
- Write actionable cyber security advice and continually improve it based on user feedback.
- Train and upskill other team members in security practices.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of current cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, including OWASP.
- Ability to quantify the business impact of cyber-attacks on public sector bodies.
- Experience in specifying and implementing security controls and design patterns.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse technical skill levels.
- Knowledge of cyber security products and services marketplace.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CCP, Crest Registered Technical Security Architect, or ISO27001 Lead Implementer.
