Summary: The Lead Security Architect role is a pivotal position within a leading retail and corporate bank, focusing on modernizing technology and core banking systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate solid, practical experience in information security, covering both technical and non-technical aspects.
- Support technology change initiatives to deliver secure solutions.
- Lead and coach a diverse team of subject matter experts.
- Communicate complex security issues to a wide audience, including non-technical colleagues.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships across engineering, product, compliance, and business teams.
- Identify information security risks and develop creative solutions.
- Maintain a wide range of information security knowledge and seek support for knowledge gaps.
- Understand the relationship between Risk Management and Information Security in a Financial Services context.
- Hold or be capable of attaining relevant external qualifications, such as CISSP.
- Possess a good understanding of core privacy concepts related to technology change initiatives.
- Lead and manage teams effectively.
- Have experience in the Financial Services sector or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience in intra-group outsourcing arrangements.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead Security Solutions Architect with strong, current technical knowledge (CISSP) and excellent interpersonal skills to join a leading retail and corporate bank as they modernise the technology and core banking systems.
Requirements:
- Information Security - Solid, practical and demonstrable experience of information security (technical and non technical aspects)
- Technology Change - Demonstrable experience of supporting technology change initiatives to deliver solutions securely
- You are a confident leader, able to set the tone and direction for a diverse team of subject matter experts, offering coaching and support as required
- You are a skilled communicator, able to convey complex security issues to a wide audience, including non-technical colleagues.
- You love building strong interpersonal relationships across engineering, product, compliance, and business teams to foster a culture of shared security ownership.
- You are great at identifying information security risks and you enjoy finding creative solutions problems.
- You have a wide range of information security knowledge and crucially, you are aware of your own knowledge gaps and able to seek support and guidance as required.
- You understand the intersection of Risk Management and Information Security and how these relate to each other in a Financial Service business 3LoD model.
- Hold or have the capability to attain appropriate external qualifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP.
- Privacy - You don't need to be a privacy expert but you will require a good understanding of core privacy concepts and how these apply to technology change initiatives
- Line Management - Previous experience leading and managing teams
- Financial Services - Experience working in FS or other highly regulate industry
- Intra-Group - Experience working in a intra-group outsourcing arrangement
