Summary: The Lead Programme Performance Coordinator will oversee the Employment and Skills Data & Performance Team, focusing on managing financial elements, performance metrics, and contract reporting for the Healthy Working Life programme in West Yorkshire. This role requires exceptional leadership and relationship skills to represent the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day management of a team of Programme Performance Coordinators.
- Manage allocated contracts in line with funding guidance and contract requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective contract management tools to monitor overall contract finances, performance, subcontractors, partner delivery, and associated risks of multiple high-value contracts, ensuring accuracy.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge and practical experience of contract and project management methodologies, techniques, and good practice.
- Relevant and recent experience of developing, implementing, embedding, and maintaining contract management processes and procedures.
- Experience of directing team priorities and managing external influences to achieve targets.
- Understanding of the contract management requirements of a range of funding streams.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence using Microsoft Tools.

Lead Programme Performance Coordinator £40,531 per annum Leeds / Hybrid Fixed term for up to 2 years / Full time (37 hours per week) Closing date: Sunday 8 March 2026 at 11:55pm We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Programme Performance Coordinator to join our Employment and Skills Data & Performance Team. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to lead an experienced team in managing the financial elements, internal and external performance metrics, contract reporting as well as demonstrating the impact of funding for West Yorkshire residents. Healthy Working Life is a joint programme of West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. The programme will deliver the region’s £37 million work and health plan, which has been created following consultation with residents and employers. The programme aims to grow the economy and put more money in people’s pockets by supporting those with long-term sickness or disability into secure, rewarding and well-paid work and looking at innovative ways to move economically inactive people towards or into the workforce. This role will have specific responsibilities for managing the implementation of systems to manage and monitor the Connect to Work offer as part of Healthy Working Life. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding leadership, management, and relationship skills for representing WYCA internally and externally with partners.
