Key Responsibilities
- Define and own product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for complex digital products and services
- Lead products through Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live, and continuous improvement stages
- Turn ambiguous concepts and challenges into clearly defined product outcomes and delivery plans
- Lead and coach Product Managers, promoting product management best practice across teams
- Prioritise product backlogs, investment decisions, and delivery activities based on user and business needs
- Work collaboratively with engineering, delivery, architecture, design, research, and operational teams
- Champion Agile and Lean methodologies, driving continuous improvement and delivery excellence
- Develop business cases, benefits frameworks, and performance measures to demonstrate value
- Provide leadership across stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and outcomes
Ideal Candidate
- Significant experience delivering and leading large-scale digital products
- Strong product strategy, roadmap, and prioritisation experience
- Proven experience leading Product Managers, Product Owners, or multidisciplinary product teams
- Demonstrable end-to-end product life cycle experience from Discovery through to Live service
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, user-centred design, and digital product development
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and establish clarity and direction for teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience working within government, public sector, or highly regulated environments highly desirable
Additional Requirements
- Active SC clearance or lapsed SC clearance that can be transferred
- Candidates may commence on BPSS while SC transfer is underway
- Product, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certifications welcomed but not essential
- Flexible hybrid working across London, Bristol, or Manchester
- Expected to attend team collaboration sessions and in-person events as required
