Summary: The Contract Data Product Lead will oversee a portfolio of data-driven products and services within the NHS and central government sectors. This role requires a blend of strategic vision and hands-on leadership, focusing on delivering value while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes. The successful candidate will champion a data-centric approach to product development and ensure alignment with strategic goals across multiple teams. A strong background in product management, particularly in regulated environments, is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead product strategy and delivery for a complex portfolio of data products and services
  • Define and own product roadmaps, prioritisation, and outcome-focused backlogs
  • Navigate a wide and complex stakeholder landscape across NHS, central government, and delivery partners
  • Champion data-driven product thinking, embedding a culture of measurement and continuous improvement
  • Work across multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, architecture, design, policy, and data) to align delivery with strategic goals
  • Provide leadership and coaching to product managers, building capability and fostering a high-performing culture
  • Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear, actionable business outcomes for senior stakeholders

Key Skills:

  • 6–8+ years of pure product management experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior/lead role
  • Proven track record of proactive product delivery in large, complex organisations (NHS, central government, or similarly regulated/public sector environments)
  • Specialist in data-centric products, data platforms, or data services
  • Strong product acumen, able to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives
  • Superb stakeholder management skills – able to influence, align, and gain trust across diverse and senior stakeholder groups
  • Experience leading across multiple teams and cross-functional programmes
  • A dynamic, data-obsessed, digital native with the ability to set vision and drive outcomes
