Summary: The Lead Prison Security Escort at HMP Woodhill is responsible for supervising a team of escorts to ensure site safety and security. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and organising a team of prison security escorts
- Managing daily schedules and ensuring all tasks are covered
- Acting as the first point of contact for the team
- Handling any escalated issues efficiently
- Escorting and supervising contractors on site
- Logging and monitoring tools brought onto site
- Communicating with staff and contractors via radio
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Conducting interviews and site tours for potential new staff
- Organising inductions and training new starters
Key Skills:
- Previous experience working within the prison service
- Proven management or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive and safety-first approach
- Due to the nature of the role, all applicants will be subject to standard Security Vetting including reference and police checks. UK residency of 3+ years is required.
