Summary: The Lead PMO Manager/Business Programme Support Manager role in Worthing involves providing comprehensive programme management and planning support to various stakeholders, including Project and Change Managers. The position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can engage collaboratively with teams and confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels. The role emphasizes maintaining accurate project information and facilitating effective progress across workstreams. This is a hybrid position with a focus on hands-on involvement rather than delegation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the custodian of project information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide support to SMEs, PMs, and Change Managers, maintaining action statuses.
- Interface between workstreams, central transformation office, IT PMO, and Finance.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting outputs from a single source of truth.
- Track and report risks, issues, resourcing, changes, and dependencies.
- Facilitate and support progress of proposals and initiatives through approvals.
- Support and consolidate regular project, programme, and portfolio reviews.
- Analyse post-project reviews and lessons learned to identify trends.
- Coordinate workstream meetings, including scheduling and minute-taking.
Key Skills:
- Experience in maintaining Programme Controls within a PMO.
- Strong project management skills.
- Effective stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficient in report preparation, both regular and ad hoc.
- Analytical skills for Programme performance assessment.
- Capability in managing continuous improvement of Programme Delivery.
- Experience in Programme Level Planning.
- Qualifications in traditional project/programme methods (e.g., Prince II, MSP) and Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFE, Scrum).
- Desirable knowledge of the water and utility industries.
