Summary: The Lead Platform Engineer will spearhead the migration of legacy on-premise infrastructure to AWS, focusing on redesigning the wallet platform for enhanced scalability, security, and performance. This role also involves mentoring an internal development team transitioning from .NET/C++ to Java, thereby influencing the company's long-term technology strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration from on-prem to AWS, ensuring best practices for scalability, security, and resilience.
- Redesign the existing wallet platform for optimal performance in a cloud-native environment.
- Provide architectural guidance and hands-on support throughout the transition process.
- Mentor and train an internal development team moving from .NET/C++ to Java.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including engineering, product, and security teams, to define and execute the migration strategy.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any architectural challenges during the migration process.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Lead Platform Engineer or similar role in cloud migration projects.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture and services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Extensive experience with legacy-to-cloud transformations.
- Deep knowledge of Java, with the ability to support a development team transition.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills to upskill internal teams.
