Key Responsibilities:

Lead Planner - Projects Our North Sea operator client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Planner (Projects) for a long-term contract role, based in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong project planning experience. Hybrid working

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the development, maintenance, and issue of high quality, fully integrated project plans to support safe, compliant, and efficient execution.
  • Lead the assessment, alignment, and continuous improvement of project planning processes across the business, embedding best practice and consistent standards.
  • Provide planning leadership and line management for the planning team, including direct reports and planners embedded within projects, ensuring appropriate capability development, training, and succession planning.
  • Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and Project Managers to develop a strategic, forward looking view of project activity requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure all internal, external, and vendor project plans are accurately captured, logically integrated, and maintained at the appropriate level of detail and update frequency.
  • Drive effective interfaces with Corporate Planning to ensure full alignment between project plans and the overall business plan.
  • Own and govern all project planning information issued internally and externally, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and fitness for purpose.
  • Ensure robust project change management processes are applied to plans, with clear visibility of schedule impacts, risks, and dependencies.
  • Develop, monitor, and report meaningful planning and performance dashboards, analysing trends to identify risks, areas of concern, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide oversight and support for the effective use and maintenance of Primavera P6, ensuring data integrity and consistent application across projects.
  • Ensure robust, integrated planning information is available to support CSRAs, decision making, and assurance activities.

Experience:
