Summary: The Lead Piping Engineer will oversee piping design and engineering delivery for a leading UK engineering and construction organization specializing in nuclear and utilities infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage piping design teams and external designers
- Ensure compliance with the Design Management Plan and applicable standards
- Provide technical assurance of piping deliverables
- Drive safe-by-design, constructability and sustainability principles
- Report on design progress, risks and performance
- Control and challenge design change
- Build strong relationships with client, project teams and supply chain
- Embed carbon reduction and MMC/Production Thinking into designs
Key Skills:
- Recognised expertise in piping engineering
- Engineering management experience in major programmes
- Utilities infrastructure design background
- Strong knowledge of UK legislation and standards
- Experience reviewing and assuring technical deliverables
- Understanding of risk management and HSE requirements
