Key Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical engineering project oversight for USSV programs (VICTA)
  • Management of the specific mechanical engineering project team
  • Create and develop work breakdown schedules to manage the engineering team to project specific goals and deadlines
  • Report progress and identify strengths and weaknesses in delivery
  • Support the Head of Mechanical to provide insight to business strategic vision
  • Mentor and support the development of Junior Mechanical Engineers
  • Key reviewer; peer to peer and gate reviews
  • Compliant with all aspects of company legislative compliance, HSE and HR

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years industry experience
  • Minimum 3 years leading a team
  • Ability to create and review components, sub-assemblies and General Arrangements in 3D CAD
  • Ability to create and review 2D drawings in conjunction with BS8888
  • Proven experience of working in a fast paced, challenging engineering sector
  • Proven experience of delivering complex projects
  • Proven experience of leading a cohesive and effective team
