Job Description: Client are looking for an enthusiastic JAVA/Microservices engineer - 1 with Angular skills also. SLS Plan 5 is a legislative change from the Student Loans Service which requires changes to be made within the ITSD service functional code so this is an exciting opportunity to get into a growing and important service. Engineers need to be SC Cleared to work on ITSD Live Service
Key technical skills required include: Java, Spring Springboot, Git, Swagger Kubernetes Shell, SQL, MongoDB, code writing, software testing, application monitoring. Understanding and experience of Kubernetes is desirable but not essential.
The team are predominantly Telford based and we will be looking to have team days each week in the office whenever appropriate to meet the client Hybrid Working standards.
The ITSD service is technically still a BETA service with a small number of users. However over the next few years this is expected to grow exponentially as use of ITSA is mandated. This is an exciting time to join the team.
