Summary: The Lead Java Developer role involves managing and optimizing microservice communications within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise monitoring tools such as Splunk, Jaeger, Kiali, xMatters, AppDynamics, and Grafana to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Manage file transfer servers for efficient sending and receiving of files.
- Automate the scheduling and processing of business workflows using Control-M.
- Securely store and control access to tokens, passwords, certificates, and API keys with HashiCorp Vault.
- Work with Payment Data Platforms using Big Query on GCP.
- Implement security measures through DSP.
- Utilise cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio Service Mesh.
- Employ traditional technologies such as Bash/Shell, Groovy or Java, Unix/Linux, and GitHub.
- Design, build, and maintain distributed containerised platforms.
- Deliver CICD pipelines for automated deployments.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Java and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with a range of monitoring tools.
- Experience in AppDynamics.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of security platforms like DSP.
- Understanding of traditional technologies like Unix/Linux and GitHub.
