Summary: The Lead Full Stack Engineer role focuses on overseeing the technical design and delivery of a TypeScript/React front end and Golang microservices within a multi-tenant SWaaS architecture. This position requires a hands-on approach to lead design reviews and enforce engineering standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role is critical to a business-critical programme for a well-known consultancy. It is initially for a duration of 4 months, primarily remote with some London presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end technical design and delivery across a TypeScript/React/Vite Front End and Golang microservices within a multi-tenant SWaaS architecture.
- Define Front End module boundaries, API contracts (REST/gRPC), and state management; establish idiomatic Golang service structure, concurrency, and error-handling patterns.
- Act as hands-on Tech Lead, driving design reviews, PR approvals, and resolving technical blockers with the Senior FSE/Scrum Lead.
- Set and enforce engineering standards across TypeScript, React architecture, Vite builds, and testing (Vitest/Testing Library), alongside strong Golang test coverage.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines covering Front End optimisation, Golang builds, containerisation, and cloud deployment across key product workstreams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Architecture, Data Science, Product, and UX to integrate ML models and deliver FCA-aligned, performant, and accessible user experiences.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Vite, and Golang.
- Experience with REST/gRPC API design and state management.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment.
- Ability to enforce engineering standards and conduct design reviews.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Architecture, Data Science, Product, and UX teams.
