Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance analytics platforms, working closely with traders, analysts, and technology teams to streamline data workflows.
- Lead development initiatives, facilitating regular stand-ups to drive progress and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Architect and implement scalable data engineering solutions, including analytics dashboards using Tableau, BI, and React.
- Automate and manage fundamental and market data releases, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
- Integrate and optimise new market data sources, collaborating with third-party vendors to expand data capabilities.
- Deploy, maintain, and optimise cloud-based analytics models, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability in a trading environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience leading development in a Front Office trading environment, ideally within the oil trading/commodities space.
- Expert-level Python programming and strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience in building and optimising market data pipelines, analytics tools, and trading applications.
- Deep expertise in market data structures, pricing models, market curves, and settlement curves, with the ability to implement scalable solutions.
- Experience in data visualisation and analytics tool development, using Tableau, BI, and React.
- Strong background in cloud-based architectures, API integrations, and deploying models for Real Time data processing.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance systems in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
