Summary: The Lead Financial Analyst role at a leading Lloyd's insurer involves overseeing the Finance function during a transformative period. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of 2 FP&A professionals, fostering a high-performance, service-led culture
- End-to-end ownership of 1-year GAAP plans, delivered to Executive Committee, PLC Board and downstream teams including Capital, Solvency II and US RBC
- Producing and presenting planning, forecasting and scenario analysis (technical and non-technical) to senior committees, including CFO-led forums
- Ownership of global GAAP P&L planning submissions across regional statutory and regulatory bases
- Providing robust challenge to business partnering and actuarial teams, ensuring outputs are timely, high quality and commercially insightful
- Working closely with IFRS 17 and strategic planning teams, understanding differences between standards and identifying process synergies
- Acting as Finance business lead for the continued development and embedding of an EPM planning tool (e.g. Workday Adaptive) into core planning and analytics
- Driving continuous improvement across planning processes, controls and documentation
- Acting as a GAAP consolidation subject matter expert across budgets and forecasts
- Coaching and developing team members, supporting capability building and career progression
- Contributing to finance transformation initiatives and wider business projects
Key Skills:
- Confident FP&A expert with strong insurance knowledge
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong experience in insurance financial planning, ideally within a Lloyd’s or London Market environment
- Proven ownership of annual planning and forecasting cycles within complex organisations

Lead Financial Analyst Lloyd's Insurer - 12-month FTC Salary - £100,000 London/ hybrid A leading Lloyd’s syndicate is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to join its Finance function at a pivotal point of transformation and growth. This is a high-profile role, working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial and the wider business, with direct exposure to Executive and Board-level decision making. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning, you will lead the delivery of group GAAP (IFRS 4) annual planning, forecasting and scenario analysis, while playing a key role in enhancing planning capability and embedding a modern EPM environment.
