Summary: This role is a key position within the GB&I Finance team, focusing on supporting the Indirect Commercial team to facilitate the strategic revamp of the GB&I market. The Lead Finance Analyst will act as a finance business partner, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize gross margin delivery and support strategic growth initiatives. The position requires a blend of strategic insight and hands-on financial project delivery, with a strong emphasis on communication and stakeholder management. The role is based in London with required travel to Malmesbury once a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify drivers of gross margin delivery and provide insights to optimize plans.
  • Maintain continuous dialogue and collaboration with commercial stakeholders.
  • Align key stakeholders to risks and opportunities.
  • Participate actively in the monthly planning cycle.

About The Role

This is a key role within the GB&I Finance team, supporting the Indirect Commercial team, which is a critical pillar for the future of the market. The position will play a crucial part in facilitating the strategic revamp of the GB&I market, which will be essential to achieving ambitious commercial and financial goals over the next few years. You will report to the GB&I Senior Finance manager and serve as the key finance business partner. The role is based in the Malmesbury &/or London (traveling to Malmesbury office 1 day per week required) offices.

Main Accountabilities

  • Gross Margin Delivery: Identify drivers of gross margin delivery, providing value-adding insight to optimise plans.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain continuous dialogue and collaboration with commercial stakeholders (Head of Sales and sales team), guiding them through internal processes.
  • Risk & Opportunity Alignment: Align key stakeholders to risks and opportunities, where appropriate.
  • Planning Cycle: Play an active role in the monthly planning cycle, ensuring commercial teams understand and adhere to planning assumptions to build a coherent forward-looking view.
  • Growth Support: Support strategic growth drivers.
  • Team Development: Help upskill commercial teams and create full P&L ownership.
  • Customer Spend Management: Manage customer spend through Vistex and month-end journal postings, ensuring accuracy at the product level, as well as conducting variance analysis of actuals versus plan.
