Summary: The Lead Enterprise Architect for Advanced Analytics will spearhead the development of innovative analytics tools and systems, driving data-driven insights across the organization. This role involves managing a skilled engineering team, ensuring collaboration with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the full software development lifecycle. The position requires a strong focus on scalability, performance, and the implementation of best practices in analytics solutions. The role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring presence in the office two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and enhancement of advanced analytics tools, focusing on data processing, integration, and optimization.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of skilled engineers, providing guidance through performance reviews and career development.
  • Ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions.
  • Remove blockers and resolve technical challenges for engineering teams.
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions, implementing best practices for scalable solutions.
  • Champion agile methodologies to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the full SDLC to ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Provide second-level support for production systems, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with architects to establish standards and conduct impact assessments.
  • Manage and resolve escalations effectively to minimize disruption to project timelines.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role with 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in software architecture, data pipeline design, and scalable analytics systems.
  • Experience with integrating and automating business workflows.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python or .NET, with experience in front-end frameworks and back-end development.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and database optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time data analytics solutions.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams.
  • Experience in building machine learning solutions is a plus.
