Summary: The role of Lead Electronics Engineer involves contributing to the development of a complex, regulated electronic product within a well-funded technology company. Key Responsibilities:
- Board bring up, verification, and functional testing of a precision optical sensing PCBA; implement design changes and support DFM activities
- Finalise electronics designs and produce documentation packages for transfer to contract manufacture
- Provide technical direction across prototype build phases; prepare V&V plans and support test execution
- Author FPGA architecture specifications, subsystem requirements documents, test system definitions, and single fault analyses
- Maintain EDA tool templates and libraries
Key Skills:
- Proven hands-on hardware engineering background on complex, regulated electronic products
- FPGA development experience, ideally Xilinx/AMD, with Altium Designer for PCB work
- Exposure to optical or optoelectronic systems
- Comfortable producing formal engineering documentation including specifications and safety analyses
