Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support data engineering initiatives across platforms on GCP.
- Facilitate the community of Tech Leads and Data Engineers, promoting best practices in development and deployment.
- Develop a methodological framework to guide the future direction of data practices at BforBank.
- Collaborate closely with architects and assist in recruitment planning for the domain.
- Formalize and disseminate best practices in development and provide support for daily challenges faced by the team.
- Conduct technology watch to continuously enhance the data engineering systems.
- Act as a communication link for architects regarding data-related projects.
- Participate in the broader community of Leads Chapter to share best practices and foster continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages: Python, SQL, Shell Scripts.
- Experience with data streaming services such as Kafka.
- Knowledge of data ingestion services: Kafka Connect, SFTP.
- Familiarity with storage services: GCP BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Kafka, SharePoint.
- Experience in processing with Python scripts, GCP Dataflow, and Data Build Tool (DBT).
- Ability to create dashboards and reports using Looker and other reporting tools.
- Experience with collaboration and CI/CD tools: GitLab, Flamingo.
- Knowledge of development and deployment platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, Kustomize, Helm, Terraform.
- Experience with testing methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proactive and innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Curiosity and continuous learning in data and generative AI technologies.
