Lead Data Consultant

I'm working with a growing consultancy looking to hire a Senior Data Consultant to design and deliver modern Microsoft data solutions.

You'll work across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI and Azure Data Factory, leading stakeholder engagements, shaping solutions and delivering data transformation projects.

Ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a consultative approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and deliver modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop scalable data models and analytics solutions using Kimball best practices.
• Build and optimise Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and communicate technical solutions in a business-focused way.
• Support pre-sales activities, including solution design, estimates and client demonstrations.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to delivery standards and best practices.

Required Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Solid knowledge of Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, PySpark and SQL.
• Expertise in dimensional modelling and star schema design.
• Advanced Power BI development, including DAX and semantic modelling.
• Experience with Azure security, governance, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage senior stakeholders.
• Consultancy, professional services or client-facing delivery experience preferred.
