Summary: The Lead Data Analytics Engineer role involves leading data engineering efforts for a tech client, focusing on GCP, SQL, Python, and BigQuery. The position requires a strong background in data analytics and engineering, with an emphasis on autonomous work and innovation. The contract is expected to last between 6 to 12 months, with a requirement for on-site presence in West London for 3-4 days a week. Immediate interviews are being conducted for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data engineering initiatives and projects.
- Ingest, extract, and analyze data from diverse sources.
- Utilize ELT/ETL processes effectively.
- Collaborate with third parties and drive innovation.
- Manage databases and data warehouses, specifically BigQuery.
- Implement BI tools such as PowerBI and Omni.
- Develop solutions using Python and advanced SQL.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a Senior/Lead capacity.
- Expertise with GCP.
- Demonstrable experience of ingesting, extracting, and analyzing data from diverse sources.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with databases and data warehouses, particularly BigQuery.
- Proficiency in BI tools like PowerBI and Omni.
- Advanced skills in Python and SQL.

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a Senior/Lead capacity
- Expertise with GCP
- Demonstrable experience of ingesting, extracting and analysing data from diverse sources
- ELT/ETL
- Strong communication skills to work with 3rd parties and ability to work autonomously and drive innovation
- Databases and data warehouses are in place: BigQuery
- BI tools PowerBI & Omni (very similar tool to Looker)
- Programming languages Python and advanced SQL
