Summary: The Lead Cloud Engineer role involves spearheading the implementation of a new Azure Cloud Platform System Integration for a leading London Market Insurer. The position requires a seasoned professional to design and integrate Azure solutions, focusing on API integration and Infrastructure as Code. A background in insurance is beneficial for this critical engagement. This is an outside IR35 contract for 6 to 9 months with a hybrid working arrangement in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of Azure cloud platform
- Develop robust APIs using OpenAPI, JSON, & Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus)
- Write clean, maintainable code in C#/.NET for cloud-native applications & integrations
- Define & implement Infrastructure as Code using Bicep
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, & security teams to ensure best practices & compliance
- Provide technical leadership & mentorship across the engineering team
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure integration services
- Proven track record of leading Azure solution implementations in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in API design & integration, including OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, & RESTful services
- Solid experience with C#/.NET for backend development & integration
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Bicep (or ARM templates)
- Experience in London Market Insurance desirable
