What You'll Be Doing
As a Test Automation Engineer, you'll work closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery through effective test automation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborating with Agile delivery teams to define and implement appropriate test coverage
- Troubleshooting automation issues and driving continuous improvement
- Contributing to automation strategy, tooling decisions, and best practices
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable technology solutions across the organisation
What We're Looking For
You'll bring a passion for quality engineering alongside experience in some or all of the following:
- 8+ years of hands-on Test Automation experience
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
- Strong experience with tools such as Karate, Eggplant Functional, SOAP UI and Postman
- Proven ability to develop System, API, Security and UI test scripts
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
- Experience working with messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ and ACE
- Knowledge of Scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Experience with application monitoring and scheduling tools
- Understanding of security testing and vulnerability scanning tools including SonarQube, Fortify, Twistlock and Xray
Desirable: Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Middleware and messaging technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, or ACE
- Software architecture technologies including XBRL and HTML
- Banking, financial services, or regulated industry experience
