Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities As Lead ACCP for Critical Care, you will work closely with other departmental ACP’s/tACP’s, Senior Nurses, Consultant Leads, Clinical Directors, Matrons, Care Group Manager and the Divisional Director of Nursing/Professions. You will lead on all aspects of advanced practice and be focused on patient safety, experience and quality assurance frameworks. You must be able to demonstrate a compassionate approach to the care of patients and the public. The Lead ACCP will provide managerial and professional support on a day-to-day basis to all ACCP/tACCP’s across critical care, ensuring all 4 pillars of advanced practice is delivered. You will need to possess the ability to work as a key decision maker alongside the multi professional team, ensuring the safe implementation of an advanced practice strategy within the department and care group in accordance with research, policy, national standards and the NMC Code. The successful applicant will have proven experience as a FICM accredited ACCP and be required to deliver a job plan which includes a minimum 50% clinical component. Track record in leadership within critical care is essential as are excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills.
