Lawyer (12-month fixed term, Human Rights/Public Law Charity) Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a respected legal organisation championing fairness and accountability. We are seeking a capable and motivated solicitor to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to strategic public law litigation with real social impact. The role can be worked remotely within England under the flexible working scheme.
Role Overview The postholder will support a highly regarded casework team in advancing public law challenges that protect rights and hold government to account. The role offers the chance to work on significant cases while collaborating with colleagues in research, policy, and training. Supervision will be provided by the Legal Director, within a supportive and inclusive team environment.
Key Duties
- Manage a strategic public law caseload, including judicial review.

Terms Contract: 12 months, fixed term (parental leave cover) Location: Central London, with hybrid working (3 office days per week during probation) Hours: Full-time (35 hrs) or part-time (min. 28 hrs) Salary: c. £47,777 per annum pro rata Pension: 10% after one year (statutory minimum during first year) Annual leave: 25 days + bank holidays Application Process Interested applicants should submit a completed application form by Saturday 6th September.
