Detailed Description From Employer:

We are working with one of the largest financial services organisations across Asia, which has a strong and growing presence throughout Europe. This corporate and investment bank has harnessed a consistent and growing flow of business and continues to perform well, so it is a great time to join. Due to this increased workload, a new role has been created for a commercial contracts/technology lawyer to join their London EMEA legal team, initially for a 6-month long contract. The successful candidate will sit in a sub-team whose purview extends across the entire bank’s operations, and centres around commercial and tech-related documentation.

What will the role involve?

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating ICT contracts, related to cloud computing and cybersecurity solutions with third-party suppliers and vendors;
  • Working with the Procurement function to ensure that contractual and regulatory risks are managed effectively;
  • Monitoring regulatory matters and developments (e.g. DORA and outsourcing requirements) that would affect the landscape of contractual arrangements in place and advising the business on best policy.

What are we looking for?

  • Qualified lawyer from a reputable law firm or financial institution;
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and work with multiple stakeholders;
  • Someone who is naturally collaborative, with the ability to form solid relationships with internal/external stakeholders, but who can also work autonomously when required.

This is a great opportunity for a commercial/tech lawyer to engage with a broad scope of documentation and business teams across all areas of the organisation. The successful candidate will be remunerated a competitive daily rate of pay and join a well-regarded team who enjoy a flexible and generous hybrid working policy and a healthy work-life balance. We look forward to hearing from you.
