Summary: The Land Manager role involves negotiating and securing property agreements for a large-scale green energy project within a leading renewable energy company. The position requires frequent travel for site visits and stakeholder engagement, primarily in North East England and London. The contract is outside IR35 and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in land management within the renewable energy sector to foster relationships and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and secure Exclusivity agreements, Heads of Terms, Option and Lease agreements, easements, and other third-party property rights with landowners.
  • Develop and manage positive relationships with landowners, solicitors, and agents.
  • Act as the interface between negotiating parties and the company.
  • Oversee and manage the drafting and completion of land agreements.
  • Negotiate rights and easements for pipelines, utilities, or other service media.
  • Negotiate access rights and protective provisions.
  • Instruct and manage land agents, consultants, and external solicitors.
  • Represent the company at community engagement and stakeholder consultations.
  • Provide regular reports on negotiation progress.
  • Maintain awareness of market rates and trends to ensure competitive offers.

Key Skills:

  • Land Manager experience in the Renewable Energy Sector.
  • Prior knowledge/experience of the Development Consent Order (DCO) process.
  • Experience negotiating rights and easements for pipelines and utilities.
  • Experience negotiating access rights and protective provisions.
  • Managing and securing land agreements for commercial-scale projects.
  • Proficient in land and real estate transactions and legal documentation.
  • Understanding of land law and contract law.
  • Experience in stakeholder consultation and relationship development.
