Summary: The Fire and Durability Test Engineer role is an interim position based in Sidcup, Kent, focused on testing construction materials for fire, smoke, and durability performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with accredited test houses across the UK and EU to organise and manage testing schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external laboratories, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
  • Track progress of testing activities and proactively manage timelines and deliverables.
  • Analyse and review test data to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Produce monthly test laboratory reports, summarising progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with testing partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all testing activities align with regulatory and quality requirements.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Test Assessor/Engineer to join on an interim basis for an initial 6+ month period. This role will support testing activities within the building construction sector, focusing on fire, smoke, and durability performance of construction materials. You will play a key role in coordinating testing programmes, working closely with external laboratories across the UK and EU, and ensuring timely delivery of accurate test results.
