Summary: This role as a Laboratory Technician is part of the EMEA R&D Laboratory Team, focusing on physical testing of consumer products in compliance with the client’s Quality Management System. The position requires adherence to safety policies, conducting accurate testing, and maintaining records while supporting trials across EMEA locations. The technician will also apply LEAN principles to enhance working practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical testing of consumer products as requested, ensuring compliance with the client QMS.
  • Perform competitor audits, RSRs/MSRs/projects, and ad hoc testing requests.
  • Conduct regular equipment verifications and calibrations according to schedules.
  • Provide in-mill trial support within EMEA as necessary.
  • Maintain archived records and product documentation.
  • Apply LEAN principles to improve working practices.

Job Description: This role is a member of the EMEA R&D Laboratory Team, reporting to the R&D Laboratory Team Leader. The role is responsible for carrying out physical testing for the EMEA R&D Team, ETLs and mill teams, in accordance with the client Quality Management System.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must always work safely, complying with the Northfleet Mill Safety Policy and maintaining a safe working environment by applying 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Must comply with the client QMS.
  • Must adhere to the appropriate Standard Test Methods or procedures.
  • Is responsible for conducting timely and accurate physical testing of consumer products as requested. The data should be reported in the appropriate format or as requested by the customer.
  • Testing includes but is not limited to: Competitor Audits RSRs/MSRs/Projects Ad Hoc requests Testing correlation checks (ticklers)
  • Is responsible for conducting regular equipment verifications and calibrations in line with identified schedules.
  • Is responsible for providing in-mill trial support within EMEA as necessary.
  • Is responsible for maintaining archived records and product.
  • Should apply LEAN principles to the working environment and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of these practices.
