Key Responsibilities:

  • Scan and transfer R&D pilot plant batch production records to other departments.
  • Prepare laboratory documentation for off-site archiving.
  • Coordinate the periodic review schedule for technical documents used in laboratories.
  • Liaise with couriers and complete paperwork for shipping laboratory samples and equipment.

Detailed Description From Employer:

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Operations Administrator for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Speke, Liverpool. This is an initial 12 months contract position paying from £11.20ph up to £16.90ph PAYE depending on experience.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

The role involves a selection of technical administrative tasks using systems such as SAP, Veeva Documentation Management System and Microsoft 365 applications including Teams. The role will also involve some laboratory-based duties such as daily equipment calibrations and lab housekeeping tasks.

  • Use of SAP-Ariba to raise POs, perform Goods receipt and approve invoices
  • Use of SAP-EAM to manage laboratory equipment Preventative Maintenance schedules.
  • To liaise with the various external companies who maintain and qualify laboratory equipment, set up service contracts and arrange routine and/or ‘for cause’ maintenance visits.
  • Scanning completed R&D pilot plant batch production records for transfer to other departments.
  • Preparing laboratory documentation for off-site archiving.
  • Assist the Scientists by owning and co-ordinating the periodic review schedule for all the technical documents (eg procedures, assessments, training packages) used within the laboratories to ensure they are reviewed within required timelines.
  • Liaising with couriers and completion of the paperwork required when shipping laboratory samples and or laboratory equipment within and outside of the UK.

Education/Experience

  • Proficient use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams
  • Use of SAP
  • Proficient use of Electronic Document Management Systems
  • Science background would be beneficial but is not essential
