Summary: The L2 Network Engineer role involves configuring and maintaining network equipment for a large firm, with a mix of on-site and fieldwork in Broxbourne and the surrounding areas. The position is expected to start as soon as possible and is initially for a duration of 12 months. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, liaising with teams, and updating documentation. Travel expenses will be covered or a company van provided as applicable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure network equipment. (FortiGate Routers & Switches, Extreme Networks WAPs)
- Install network equipment in comms cabinet and patch in desks
- Configure printers & plotters
- Setup AV meeting room equipment (Poly Studio webcams, G9 & TC10 conference PC's)
- Onsite & remote troubleshooting and maintenance of all the above for site performance issue and site downs
- Liaising with site teams and 3rd party suppliers to schedule visits and installations
- Updating of site documentation and logs
Key Skills:
- Experience with FortiGate Routers & Switches
- Knowledge of Extreme Networks WAPs
- Ability to configure printers and plotters
- Experience with AV meeting room equipment setup
- Strong troubleshooting skills

Bench IT require an experience L2 Network Engineer to join a large firm starting ASAP. The engineer will be working from Broxbourne 2-3 days with the remaining time in the field - this will be travelling to sites in the South/South East. Any travel will be expensed or a company van provided as applicable.
