Summary: The KYC & Onboarding Specialist role at G MASS Consulting involves managing KYC/AML requests for a high-profile client in the investment and wealth management sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and respond to incoming KYC/AML documentation requests from banks, custodians, and other counterparties.
  • Work with paralegals and legal staff to draft and maintain documentation that clearly explains where SPVs sit within fund structures, and outlines ownership and control.
  • Maintain and update a centralised repository of client, entity, and fund documentation (e.g. constitutional documents, regulatory filings, KYC profiles, etc.).
  • Analyse ownership structures, including those involving foreign or non-standard legal entities, and provide accurate ownership and control information as required.
  • Use Outreach Automation (OA) tools or equivalent systems to efficiently track, manage, and distribute KYC documents and updates.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Front Office teams to gather and validate required information.
  • Track and escalate outstanding or time-sensitive KYC requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support ongoing process improvements to enhance the speed, quality, and scalability of the KYC/onboarding function.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in a KYC or onboarding role within wealth management, asset management, or financial services.
  • Working knowledge of KYC requirements, particularly around ownership structures, beneficial ownership, and legal entity classifications.
  • Experience working with fund structures, SPVs, and private client vehicles.
  • Strong ability to interpret legal documentation (e.g. trust deeds, LPAs, offering memos).
  • Experience using KYC workflow platforms or Outreach Automation (OA) tools.

G MASS Consulting are supporting a high-profile institutional client within the investment and wealth management space. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inbound KYC/AML requests from banking counterparties, coordinating the preparation and distribution of entity documentation, and supporting the client and counterparty onboarding lifecycle. You will work closely with paralegals, compliance, and legal teams to draft materials outlining fund and SPV structures, and to clarify ownership hierarchies, particularly when dealing with foreign or complex legal entities. You'll also leverage outreach automation (OA) tools to streamline and track requests and ensure counterparties receive timely, complete responses in line with regulatory expectations. This role is located in Manchester, and you will be required to go to the office 2x a week.
