Summary: The role of a KS2 Teacher is a part-time, fixed-term position based in Tonbridge, focusing on teaching children with Autism within a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). The teacher will work with 8-10 KS2 pupils, supported by teaching assistants, and is expected to deliver a structured curriculum tailored to individual needs. The position requires strong experience with Autism and excellent behaviour management skills, with a working schedule primarily on Thursdays and Fridays. The contract runs from May 1st to July 17th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 8-10 KS2 pupils within the Autism SRP.
- Support and collaborate with experienced Teaching Assistants.
- Work alongside another SRP class under the guidance of a Centre Leader.
- Deliver a structured, adapted curriculum tailored to pupils' individual needs.
- Ensure consistency and stability for pupils benefiting from predictable routines.
- Work on Thursdays and Fridays, with optional Monday afternoons.

A welcoming primary school in Tonbridge is seeking a confident KS2 specialist teacher to join their Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children with Autism on a part-time, fixed-term basis.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a well-established SRP within a mainstream primary setting. The role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a structured, supportive environment and has strong experience working with children with Autism.
About the Role
- Teaching 8-10 KS2 pupils within our Autism SRP

- Working pattern: Thursday and Friday (required) Monday afternoons (desirable but not essential) From Friday 1st May until Friday 17th July
We Are Looking For:
- A KS2 specialist teacher
- Proven experience working with children with Autism (essential)
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- The confidence to "hit the ground running" within an established SRP model
- Emotional resilience and the ability not to take direct or blunt communication personally
- A strong commitment to consistency, pupils require stability and continuity
While SRP or special school experience is not required, applicants must have practical experience supporting children with Autism and be able to adapt quickly to established systems and approaches.
