Your Impact Role

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join us on a Fixed Term Contract for 8 months. This role will ensure the kitchen and refectory are kept clean and tidy before, during and after service. You will assist the catering team in delivering high standards of food service to players, staff and management.

You will:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene: Perform daily cleaning, sterilising, and deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, surfaces, floors, and storage areas to the highest hygiene standards.
  • Operate and maintain equipment: Handle the dishwasher including start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and reporting faults; ensure correct use and storage of all kitchen tools.
  • Manage waste and chemicals safely: Dispose of waste according to recycling policies and handle cleaning chemicals in line with C.O.S.H.H. regulations.
  • Assist with deliveries and food prep: Support on receiving and proper storage of deliveries and help kitchen staff with basic food preparation.
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene protocols: Adhere to all procedures related to fire, security, health & safety, and food hygiene at all times.

Essential What we are looking for
